Abdul Basit Siddiqi is a 3 times Guinness World Record holder.
Born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, he got a degree in MBA (MIS) from IBA Karachi, after moving to Pakistan.
Siddiqi has a keen interest in numbers and mental calculations from the very beginning.
“In mental calculations, I am not anything like a genius but from my childhood, I was pretty good at it.”
In early 2000s, he started an academy in Karachi with his friend but he had difficulties in managing the academy.
He later left the academy, sold his part of shares to his friend and went to Dubai.
As per Siddiqi, he teaches in an American institute nowadays where his students are really satisfied with his methods.
Siddiqi is a 3 times Guinness World Record holder and all of these records reflect his command on numbers.
His first World Record was related to periodic table elements.
He had to correctly identify all the elements of periodic table just by gazing at their symbols.
He recorded this milestone in just 3 minutes and 9.29 seconds, on December 19, 2016.
Siddiqi has no interest in Chemistry and it took him 4 months of practice to achieve this record.
Later on, he had to reclaim this record after getting broken in early 2017 by a record time of 2 minutes 46.5 seconds.
Siddiqi broke this record by achieving the target in just 2 minutes and 37.42 seconds of record time.
Another record to his name is the fastest typing of a text message using swype technology.
He attempted this record on 22nd of May 2017 to inspire his students.
Siddiqi is determined to break more records in the future.
His next aim is to memorize most decimal places of Euler’s number, an irrational number in the Mathematics.
He also has a YouTube channel named NumberTainment where he posts different lessons for his viewers to Master the Numbers.
“I just do it to tell my students that if they have some target or a goal in life, and they are determined to achieve it, no one can stop them.”
